As Afghanistan becomes more volitile, ensuring that your organisation is ready for the worst is vital. You will notice we don't say becoming more dangerous, as Afghanistan ebbs and flows the threat has never changed and is ever there, just waiting to rear its ugly head. it's has just come out of the "quiet period".

We can mitigate the risks all we like, but if you work in a country with risks as high as Afghanistan sometimes the numbers game fails you and you may end up being on the receiving end of the violence.To make sure you are prepared, RPS suggests that you ensure you have good security plans and procedures in place as well as ensuring that staff are trained to work in hostile areas such as these. 

The British Foreign Office (FCO) has published three documents which will assist any English speaking organisation in planning for a worst case scenario. Planning for a crisis is as vital as is ensuring that your management teams have had some crisis management training in what to do if the worst befalls their organisation. It is too late once the incident starts to unfold.
