Emerson Malone of the University of Oregon interviews RPS Partnership about tracking devices for a radio programme about how UKraine and how technology can save journalists' lives. He writes..

Ukrainian journalist Anastasia Stanko helped start online news station Hromadske.tv, one of Ukraine’s only public news outlets, to offer an independent, objective voice to the nation where media is often skewed or biased. Hromadske.tv became popular during its live-streaming of the 2014 Maidan Revolution.

Stanko speaks to Emerson Malone and discusses covering the violence in eastern Ukraine with her cameraman, prior to being kidnapped and detained in a basement for three days.

Malone also speaks to RPS Director, Caroline Neil, who says that RPS and its consultants have been keeping journalists safe in hostile regions for over 18 years. Neil speaks about the technology that journalists use in life-threatening situations, including the “security bracelet” that Stanko used when kidnapped.
