Planning to go to Ukraine for work?

We are running a Hostile Environment and First Aid course to meet the growing demand for individuals and organisations wanting to travel to the Ukraine to work.

7 and 8 July 2022

Over 2 days, we will provide you with the tools to be able to work there safely and to be able to plan your journeys and be ready for anything that the situation throws at you. Our trainers have been living and working there.

We, at RPS Partnership, are uniquely partnering with Silk Road Training to lay on this course and they have set up a powerful hostile environment learning experience that can help to raise global safety standards and develop the skills of everyone living and working in hostile environments. The course provides physically immersive training that makes life-saving hostile environment skills accessible to all.

The venue

The training will take place at The Granary, Pippingford Park, East Sussex, TN22 3HW, UK (near to Gatwick airport). Here we have a purpose built classroom area and access to over 500 acres of training area for extensive and wide ranging scenario based training.


There are a range of accommodation options within the local area. Silk Road Training can advise you by request. Shuttles to / from your accommodation may also be arranged.

Meeting Point

Meet at The Granary, Pippingford, Sussex in United Kingdom on 25 May 2022 at 0900am, which is where the training will take place in the amazing Pippingford Park. The training day is from 0900-1730 each day with one hour for lunch.


Lunch will be provided for all course participants at the training venue. Drinks and snacks will also be providedthroughout the day.


We take safety seriously. Our practitioners are experts in their fields and all activities are risk assessed.The course will require physical activity on rough, uneven terrain. At times, the content will includes simulated wounds and injuries and refer to real live first aid and security incidents that may be distressing. If there are any injuries, physical conditions or previous incidents that you believe the training team should be aware of, please let the trainers know on the day or notify us in advance.


The course fee is £750 to allow individuals to be able to afford it. Rory Peck bursaries are available for freelance journalists, pls contact them and get in touch wth us.

The course requires 6 participants to run. If this number is not reached thecourse will be postponed 7 days in advance with full refunds. Dinner, bed and breakfast is not included, which gives you the choice of where you stay; hotel, b and b, camping or staying with friends.
