International Women's day starts early with Women Flying Solo event

'Women Flying Solo' was an incredible evening to celebrate International Women's Day on the 8 March 2020, wrote Anna Liisa, founder of SheTravel. Held at the Lonely Planet HQ in London, UK, it celebrated an evening of tales of adventure with its eclectic audience.

"Thank you Lonely Planet and Girls on Travel  for making this happen with SheTravel, for your great teamwork and for supporting safe travel", said Anna Liisa.

"A big thank you to all our powerful speakers Stephanie, Lucy, Caroline and Tracey for sharing your journeys and challenges. We are proud to support women who travel, explore and make history."

The event made £325 and this was donated to Womankind Worldwide on behalf of Lonely Planet, SheTravel and Girls on Travel. A great way to celebrate International Women's Day!
