RPS Partnership Study and Training Day

22 November 2017 - RPS Partnership

RPS Partnership recently ran its annual study and training day for the senior management  and training team. Ryan Swindale and Caroline Neil both welcomed their team and as part of the training day were brought up to date with ballistic and stab proof vests, as well as bite proof clothing. This informative presentation was delivered by Scott Ferris from PPSS Group.

Each year, we run a training and study day to inform, catch up and ensure that all our trainers are up to date with their professional development and training practices. We are proud of the fact that we do this each year and every trainer is assessed during a training session, so that we remain current in up to date teaching practices.

RPS Partnership are very proud to announce a partnership with PPSS Group and with the new launch of their emergency body armour for use in public places we can strongly recommend and endorse their equipment, seen here being tested out by the RPS Partnership team.  We will be announcing this partnership in a press release fairly soon.

The reason that we have decided to form a partnership with PPSS Group is that we were most impressed by the variety of vests which could defeat the differing threats that our clients may have around the world. All the vests are produced in the UK, so the quality is stringently assessed every week and they also adhere to ISO 9001:2008 quality controlled conditions.

What our experienced team, including our weapons experts, liked was that the vests can be designed specifically around our clients’ operational risks, threats, duties or design preferences. When we recently asked for a covert vest for a female executive client, they were happy to consider making the vests in a different colour to suit our client’s needs.

With regards to the protection from weapons, we were impressed that the bullet resistant vests offered additional protection from the bullets which have been a curse for many years.

  • PPSS Bullet Resistant Vests offer additional protection from other more aggressive Russian / Eastern European rounds e.g. Tokarev Ball 7.62 x 25mm and Makarov 9 x 18mm
  • PPSS Bullet Resistant Vests offer effective protection from full contact shots
  • PPSS Bullet Resistant Vests offer additional protection from TASER®

The Emergency Body Armour, seen in yellow in our photo can be made in different colours and is something which we can see may have application for our journalist clients, who sometimes want something to protect them from blunt force trauma and gives outstanding protection form a kick, punch  or blow – or blunt objects such as a piece of iron, table, brick etc.

It also provides excellent and unrivalled level of protection from all types of hypodermic needles. Something which for demonstrations and riots may give some sort of protection when they don’t want to take the heavier and cumbersome ballistic body armour. It can be stashed in a backpack and used as required to protect the vital organs. We thought it may have lots of applications around the world.

We look forward to working together in 2018 and see how things develop with their technology and what they can offer to the differing threats.
