RPS Partnership talks about terrorism in Cumbria

26 July 2017 - RPS Partnership

In this week's edition of The Cumberland News, Mark Green talks to RPS Partnership’s Managing Director, Caroline Neil and Chief Operating Officer Ryan Swindale, about how we are all a soft target when we consider terrorism and why expecting the worst can actually keep us all safe.

Caroline explains how even in rural areas, such as Cumbria, none of us are safe from potential threats and how having some basic knowledge can make all the difference in a terrorist attack.

Take a look here at what they said about working in difficult places and why they think everyone should be more prepared from a security point of view as well as a learning First-aid.

At RPS Partnership we are concerned that not enough people have basic emergency first-aid skills, know how to deal with wounds, what to do in a terrorist attack or can care for people who have traumatic injuries.  Giving people some basic training means that they can be self-reliant if the worst happened and could then do something constructive, maybe saving a life. This applies to daily lives as well as when we are talking about terrorism. We have just run an Emergency First-Aid at Work course for a local farming company, who deal with highly toxic and harzardous chemicals. We took the First-Aid course and adapted it to their workplace.

Contact us if you work in farming and would like to find out more [email protected] and contact us on [email protected] for more information on our training courses.

We run First-Aid, Travel Awareness Training and Active Shooter Training or more easily explained is what to do during a complex terrorist attack.  These courses cover scenarios that we could all potentially be caught up in both at home and overseas. Download our pdf flyer which explains some of the subjects we cover.

We have male and female consultants who are all qualified trainers with vast experience gained over the years.
